The house was beautiful, quiet, secluded yet close to town. The driveway was incredibly steep but, no issues getting up even in the rain. The furniture was very tasteful, and each piece was unique and looked to be antiques. Bedding was incredibly comfortable, everyone slept very well. The surroundings were perfect if you love watching nature outside your windows. The deer and racoon visited almost every morning.

The house was beautiful. The only issues we had were minor. There were several lamps that didn't work and I assumed the lightbulbs were burned out. The house is very dark and rustic so it was necessary to have lights that work! The other issue was there were missing or dead batteries in the tv remotes. We finally found one that worked. It was disappointing to find you could not get the major tv networks when we did get the tv to work.

The only issue I had with this rental is having to pick up the keys at the office. This day in time, it is much easier to have a lock with a code for self check-in. Other than that, great house. Spacious, clean and equipped with everything in the listing.

We absolutely LOVED our stay at Sticks and Stones! The pictures do not do this place justice! The house is furnished beautifully and is very spacious. The kitchen was very well stocked with all the appliances, pots, pans, baking stuff. We cooked our Thanksgiving dinner and had everything we needed to cook in. The fire pit outside is a wonderful addition and our kids loved having s'mores out there every night. Highly recommend this house!

Loved the property! The kids thought it was super cool and was everything you want a mountain property to be. The only thing I missed was a view - I imagine it's gorgeous in the winter time but with all the leaves filled in all you could see was trees.
The porch was gorgeous (all of them). There's porches everywhere for the kids to play on and adults to relax. Everyone loved the porches. There's even one off of the master bedroom that connects the porches together which was cool.

The house was lovely - there were a few things that required maintenance - loose decking on steps, candles without batteries, coffee maker did not work at all.
A big plus was the multiple fireplaces and the permission to bring a pet.
The biggest issue was the early checkout - you can't even really enjoy a coffee with having to be out of the house at 10 AM.

This was a great house, and we enjoyed our stay. We would hesitate to stay again, however, due to the steep driveway and not enough level parking for three families. Our only complaint about the house itself was the abundance of spiders and webs on the bottom floor. The house had wonderful decking and great rockers for just enjoying the peace of the mountains. We were unclear about what to to do with garbage. It wasn't picked up as the book said. After calling the office a couple of times it was picked up. I was afraid animals would get into it by the road since the cans weren't very substantial.

The home was not as clean as my previous foscoe rental property experiences. Specifically, there were hundreds of dead & live bugs in corners of bedrooms, the dishwasher had dirty dishes in it upon arrival, and the outdoor porches were too dirty to enjoy until we did a little cleaning ourselves. We reported the bugs immediately and shared pictures upon departure, but did not address the dishes in the dishwasher or the porches.

The home advertised a propane grill, NO PROPANE in tanks! The heat was hard to adjust with it being a 3 level home. OVERALL the property was great! Also, the parking was tight, VERY HARD to get 2 vehicles in the space provided. Also, we were under the impression that that there was cable tv in all bedrooms, NO only the Master and the den. Everything was wonderful except for the driveway. Because of the steepness of the driveway, we felt that rock salt and a snow shovel should be provided by the owners. Even with 4-WD we slid down the driveway upon checkout, which could have been prevented. We're just grateful noone was hurt and that we were able to turn the vehicle onto the Crystal Mtn. This is our 2nd time using Foscoe Rentals. I am very happy with the home and your customer service but I have to say the cleanliness was not there this time. There were huge cob webs in the corners, a dead baby snack and fur balls in the living room and a dead spider in the bath tub. We LOVED our stay at Sticks and Stones. It was a beautiful cabin and none of us wanted to leave. Beautiful furnishings, secluded area, tons of room for all of us. We had no major problems, just a few minor things to mention...several lightbulbs were out, the charcoal grill had not been cleaned by the prior occupants so we had to clean it to use it, the wheel on it was loose, and the handle on the refrigerator door was off at the bottom so we had to be really careful pulling on it. This is the third time we have rented this property (July and October of 2011 as well as this stay). For the third time, we have had to pick up the garbage left behind by the previous tenants. No collection of garbage seemed to have been made prior to our arrival. Also, at check-out time, there was little room to stuff our garbage into the can outside. Someone needs to check on this.

Several of the bathrooms didn't have any handsoap.In addition, the half bath - the toilet was constantly running -- but I was able to fix it. We ran out of toilet paper and trash bags too.
